Why is bingo not the same as other forms of gambling?

Bingo has long been considered to be different from other forms of gambling due to the whole social atmosphere which surrounds bingo. I have been told by friend’s it’s a social night out with friends going out for a nights entertainment and fun to share a bottle of wine and relax whilst having fun - it’s a laugh!
Many see Bingo as a nights fun and not as gambling. An evening at bingo often costs less than a meal out and the whole social scene is fabulous. Although it is gambling it is a non-invasive gambling and so long as you ensure your gaming habits don’t become to habitual you will enjoy the experience.
Bingo gambling has the same potential to cause addiction like any other form of gambling which is why clubs take on the responsibility of informing members of the associated risks and offering deposit restrictions. The social aspect of Bingo makes it one of the most popular forms of non-invasive gambling and it has always been considered to be an evening’s entertainment and not technically gambling as you are required to participate, marking numbers from a card requires skill as well as luck.
