Why is it that men watch sport and women play bingo I have often wondered myself? Bingo has long been associated with women although the trend is starting to shift; we all remember our nanas going to play a game of bingo whilst granddad was watching the footy on a Sunday afternoon.

My option on this is that men like to watch sports it is a male dominance gene during the roman times associated with gladiators and the like.
Sport is a man’s way of showing his prowess watching his favorite team shows his allegiance and skill. Women play bingo as we are the more social of the species and we enjoy human contact as well as the thrill of the game.
Women sports teams are not rewarded or nor to they have the same notoriety in sports as there male counterparts hence less women watching sports. Women associate sports with work not with leisure as has been documented.
The reason we see going to the gym as a job not as a leisure pursuit. Sports and leisure don’t seem to register together in the female mind where as for men it is the biggest industry around.

Hello, I found this article quite funny really about why men watch sports and women play Bingo, it made me chuckle, lol. It is true that men do like to watch sports and women do seem to prefer to play bingo, its always been that way, for as long as I can remember anyway, lol. But I must say the trend does seem to be on the change and you do see lots more men at Bingo halls and playing online Bingo now than you might have done a few years ago, but I still think us women do still out number them, thank god, lol, all the men should all be banned from playing at clubs, they always seem to be winning the prize money now, tut, lol.
