Two fat ladies 88 Poem
November 11th, 2007
Thanks to daydreamer29 for writing this fantastic poem about where the call for 88 two fat laddies came from.
Eighty eight don’t be late the caller calls from the bingo hall.
In they rush Pat and Peg tickets in hand, big bums and all.
Flop in the chair, they dab their tickets trying to catch up and win the game.
But the wobberly twosome had got there too late to win this one oh what a shame.
The night went on and tummies where rumbling yes you guessed it Peg and Pat.
They queued in line for a bite to eat, sausage and chips and this and that.
They returned to the table to play the game that once again was underway.
Shoved in a sausage and dabbed like mad and then this time caught up with play.
The caller shouted eighty eight don’t be late. “BINGO comes the cry, over hear”.
Yes it’s Pat and Peg wobberling around they’ve won the house that’s quite clear.
The caller stands and from his post congratulates both on their superb win.
Then watches the ladies faces as they light up with a huge grin.
I have renamed the call for the number that won. You seem to win if you are late.
So now Two Fat Ladies will be the call if the number called out is eighty eight.
Thanks to the lovely wobberly ladies Pat and Peg for the name of this number.
What would it be called if they ladies were skinny this is a thought to make you wonder?
