Well where do I start……….. mmmm “The Angel of the North” …….. i thought that was my nick name but apparently not, it’s the statue welcoming you to lovely Newcastle lol

Well the Bingoport’s AA meeting started on Friday night with granygrub, babygrub and susanpat arriving in Newcastle – they met Kaz and went out for something to eat and a few drinks….

Myself, billy666 and suziecolo got up bright and early Saturday morning and met at the train station. We had bacon butties on the journey that debs (aka billy666) had made for us and they were yummy – especially flushed down with a glass of coke. What we didnt realize was that it also had vodka in it! Now Im telling you we didnt put that in there, so it must have been a gremlin. Suzie didnt drink as she is carrying baby bump so she supervised lol. We arrived at York where we had to change trains & spoke to Emma who was on her way there with Boyner and Tottie. We told her we were about to catch the next train – but guess what? We missed it lol The preggers lady needed to go to the toilet and when her and debs got back the train had gone so we had to wait another hour for the next one lol

When we finally got into Newcastle (granted a wee bit late) we got a taxi from the station to the hotel and the taxi driver was a lovely man he gave debs his card with his number on and said he would take us anywhere we wanted to go while we were there – bless him!

Once we arrived at the hotel we met grany, baby, emma, tottie and boyner and then out popped daydreamer and donna ……………. who had said they couldn’t make it so they got a hug and a telling off from me for telling porkies lol but it was lovely to see they had made it

We met Kaz and her hubby steve (waco kid on free bingo) and made our way to the nearest pub. After a beer or 2 or 3……….. we had a game of name our roomies from A to Z. I think we gave up at Q… don’t know whether that was because we couldn’t think of any more or because the beer had started affecting us hehehhe!

After a couple of hours in the pub we decided to go to KFC for some food to soak it all up , it was only 2 minutes walk away … on the way to KFC donna decided she would show us her show jumping skills over the fences but unfortunately she fell at the first hurdle and crashed on her hind legs lmaoooo…… it was ok though steve was there to pick her up and dust her down lol, After we had all filled our tummies we went back to the hotel to freshen up and get changed for the sunny delights of Newcastle town centre where was meeting some others.

Once we were all glammed up we headed of to The Gate in the centre of Newcastle. We had our chauffeur scott (debs mate the taxi man) come pick us up we waited outside the gate to meet the other peeps, there we met mousie and susiewong and then a strange lady came over and said excuse me are you the nuttas off bingo ..………. grrrr we had been rumbled by the lovely garnier2000 lol. We waited for a few more we thought might be coming but no one else turned up, Someone said johnrobson was meeting us so tottie was walking up to random men saying are u john from bingo heheheheheh. Needless to say we got a few funny looks and comments lol.

Around 7.45pm we made our way to the nearest watering hole and got ourselves comfy in the back of the pub. After a couple of drinks the dj arrived and low and behold it was karaoke night whoohooooo we were in our element then……….. karaoke started off with suzie singing Hopelessly Devoted To You ………. she serenaded boyner with it lol

Then tottie n boyner sang You’re The One That I Want and got the place rockin lol,
I decided to get some head banging going and sang a bit of 4 Non Blondes lol – either the people of Newcastle are tone deaf or they were as drunk as us because every time one of us got up to sing we got a round of applause lol or maybe they just felt very sorry for us hehehehe,

Drinks in the bar were gr8 they gave u a treble vodka for the price of a double … so how could we not refuse their generosity lol. Jeanette then came to the pub to meet us with her friend and the night was spent singing our little hearts out lol. Half way into the night i went out for a cigarette and as i walked out grany said to me oh cathy we have found johnrobson and there was this lovely little old man so I went over and gave him a great big hug and kiss and said so pleased to meet you! He replied well you just made my day my name isnt john but it can be if you want it to be lol – grrr that grany had set me up the little minx lmaooooooooooooo Well at least it put a smile on his face

Before we left the bar the dj had a word in my ear and said x factor had nothing on us we were fantastic and he was a personal friend of simon cowells ….so watch this space guys and its ok we will remember you guys when we are performing at wembley

After all that drinking and singing we needed food lol So babygrub headed in her taxi for the nearest garage for the ever important Pot Noodles. We hear that baby had a fit of hysterics and some hyperventilation going on over some picked peas in her Pot Noodle lol. But we got our very own private chauffeur scott to come and collect us and went to the local kebab shop, stuffed our faces then got some sleep ready for the next day….

Sunday morning we all awoke the sun was shining and omggggggggggggg it was only 8 am lol I sneaked down to the machine in reception in me pj’s and trainers to get us some water as we were a little dehydrated lol

Daydreamer came into our room with her Bingoport t shirt on and her hair looking like freddy boswell lmaooooooooooo thank heavens for hair straightners lol

After we were all showered and refreshed we met Kaz for coffee. Susanpat, tottie and boyner had made a start home, we had booked a later train so me debs, suzie, grany, baby, donna, day and kaz went off to Frankie and Bennys for a big fry up to soak up that dirty beer form the night before lol

We sat outside to eat brekky as we needed fresh air lol Me and donna were joined by some lovely friends…………….. waspssssssssssssssssss grrrrrrrrrrrr if we jumped around once we did it a thousand times lol The rest of them just sat there while we screamed like little girls lol, Everyone was a bit quieter from the night before but i think that was because we had lost our voices from all the singing we did lol

We sat there for a few hours having a giggle about the night before and looking at some of the pics that had been taken……theres nothing worse than omggggggggggggggg did I really do that last night hehehehe!

After many cups of coffee later we headed for the train station as grany, baby, day and donna were catching their train, when kaz and steve arrived with their gorgeous little girl we presented kaz with a big bunch of flowers for making the weekend so fantastic, we even got steve some flowers but he said he wouldnt hold them as he had a reputation to keep in Newcastle lol We said bye to grany, babygrub, day and donna and waved them off. Me debs, suz, kaz, steve and the little one made our way to a coffee shop and sat outside, the weather was lovely, so we made the most of it and even caught a little tan we said bye to kaz, steve and their daughter, I wanted to pinch her and take her home with me she was sooooooooooooooo adorable

So there was only me debs and suz left. Yep the last stragglers as usual lol. We went into a bar and had a lovely sunday lunch before jumping on the train for a very tiring journey home

Well I speak for all of us when I say we had a fabbbbbbbbbbbbbbb time, it was full of laughs and fun and was so nice to meet the people we hadnt met before, and not once did we get kicked out of a pub like we did in London lol

So a hugeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee thank you to kaz for organizing it all and to both her and steve for making it a great weekend wtg the both of you , we cant wait for the next one bring it on ………………….
