Forum: Topic: Cassava blocking accounts

Zoe1983 - 09:57am May 14, 2012

WOW - reading all this puts me off playing on other paid sites. At least at Bingo Port we can play for free as long as we like lol - just so long as we obey the rules, and they are easy to obey. Playing on Bingo Port for free is much more fun thanplaying on  paying sits as the members are all so friendly as they are not competing for money. WTG Bingo Port

lewy29 - 11:42pm May 11, 2012

this site doesnt sound very reliable it a good job peeps can read reviews about them before join

awinplease1967 - 09:01pm May 8, 2012

ooo bimms thanks for the heads up, sounds a very dodgy company if they block your account if you are just withdrawing cash. they obviously dont like giving money back lol

52love - 06:26pm May 8, 2012

hi bimms,  sorry to heard that your account at foxy bingo was de-activated and only when you email them did they re activated for you.  the free games on diva bingo are 20p a line. 30p for 2 lines and 50p for a full house, i don't think i am going to get rich with that prize money lol. if deposit £20.00 or more you can go into the other free bingo room and win £100.00   thanks for the info about cassava not given people thier wiinnings

JOKEAAA12 - 05:06pm May 8, 2012

wow thats a bit sneaky thanks for info hun its not good public relations though is it for a site like foxy xx

LilDevil1987 - 04:36pm May 8, 2012

hi bimms that sounds really unfair it where it states if you play that more that 3 hours per day im so glad that isnt the case on here because im sure there is lots of us that play on here more than 3 hours per day. and i also find it unfair in the paysite not paying the person who won on the slots

maxine84 - 09:38pm May 7, 2012

I sometimes play the free games at weekends, and hope I am not exceeding the rules of Cassava, but agree, they can't have it both ways, always sending emails to attract you back.

I have just been reading an up to date account blocking post, and this came up. If they are closing thme just to prevent paying out, then that IS appaulling, and you have stated quite clearly that did havent played the free games on Foxy. Maybe you have on an other one of their many sites??? Is there no ombudsman in place to intervene in these matters? Surely there should be, when it can in volve such large amounts of money???
Hang on...the other blocking post has no relevance on this post.  These were for 2 totally seperate reasons.  Cloclo's post was because she had self excluded and in this post bimms states they did it because she played free games to excess and when she queried it they did reopen her account because they were wrong. I am happy when reading this that they did actually go and check and found their mistake and corrected it, good for bimms complaining about it. And yes i agree with moments, it does need to be regulated more.  They seem to be able to do as they please.  One minute they are sending out email after email pushing bonus at you or advertising free bingo all day and the next they stop you from withdrawing winnings won if you use too much bonus or you play too much in the free rooms.  They cant have it both ways.  As a depositing player i would much rather see them give bigger bonus to those who make regular deposits than push free rooms to new members and then expect them not to play over 3 hours per day (or whatever the rule is) LOL

grandaj - 04:50pm May 7, 2012

oh dear thats not good y do free bingo if they do that i play a lot of free bingo on wink cos times r hard so i will b carfull from now on thanks for this post tc sys

lglenya222 - 11:55am October 1, 2011

Hi bimms,

That's absolutely appalling.  I certainly won't join a site that has behaved like this - nothing in their terms and conditions, and call that an apology? - and when your research shows that it has a track record of this sort of thing, it's beyond the pale.  They've lost at least one potential member through this.  Thanks very much for sharing your experience.

Well done on pursuing this and I'm glad you got it resolved.

mzjackson - 09:49pm September 27, 2011

I recieved an e-mail from Cassava last week saying I had been playing the free games at Foxy to excessive and unreasonable measures so they had blocked my account and if I opened accounts at any other Cassava sites they would be closed down. I never play the free Bingo games at Foxy but had won £2 on everyones a winner and with that won enough to withdraw, that is when they blocked my account. I sent them an e-mail asking what free games I had been abusing as I do not play them (but for anyone who does, they class playing free Bingo for 3 or more hours a day as a professional gambler and can close your account for it ) and today I recieved this e-mail.

After careful review, I can confirm your account has been activated.

I would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your time and patience regarding this matter.

Kind regards,

I just thought I would share this because after a bit of research I have found out it is something they are doing when players try to withdraw winnings. If it happens to you make sure you question them as to there reasons.

I have continued researching this and have found some incredible articles. Someone won £64,000 on 888 Bingo and slots earlier this year and they only paid them out £3000 and then blocked them from all Cassava sites.

tjsmama - 10:03pm September 27, 2011

awww hun that is not very nice i can imagine that you were not very happy you better off away from there

clizke - 10:04pm September 27, 2011

Hmmm Bimms. Had a chuckle at the statement, the 3 or more hours a day playing FREE bingo is classed as a professional gambler...guess you have to start somewhere, LOL!

Good for you you stuck to your guns.

Well done

LaughLaughLaugh

Jojo1802 - 10:10pm September 27, 2011

wow that's very disrespectful really i think you should ask for an apology and get your account unlocked. if they dont want you to do that it should be on their terms and conditions. good luck

pcqueen - 10:45pm September 27, 2011

What a cheap shot, thats bloody disgraceful if they are dropping that on withdrawers. Think there would be some sort of enforcement to watch over this lot.

iffer - 10:48pm September 27, 2011

Very interesting Bimms, luckily you had not been playing excessive free games, well done for sorting it

ptkbandit - 11:02pm September 27, 2011

wow bimms that was really unreasonable and well done on you for challenging them and getting your account reinstated x

blondbabes - 11:06pm September 27, 2011

That's awful bimms - i wouldn't want to play there again if that happened to me>  Well done for questioning them

reggae x

valdapiper - 04:39am September 28, 2011

hi bimms thanks for telling us about this i play the free games on foxy, and i play it though out the day,so i should be getting a email soon because i won £100 on free game and withdrew it.x

MAGZBEV - 07:20am September 28, 2011

OMG. Whatever is going on. They promote their sites using these FREE games, and then complain if peeps actually win and then can withdraw. It stinks! I understand that these companys need to make money, but surely this isnt fair. Even if they think peeps are abusing it, a simple email to bring to their attention, without the need to close account would be at least pleasant. I have hardly touched the free games in past 3 years, as they hazve got too busy, but ty for the warnings huni xx

MAGZBEV - 07:25am September 28, 2011

kaka11 said:wow that's very disrespectful really i think you should ask for an apology and get your account unlocked. if they dont want you to do that it should be on their terms and conditions. good luck

I totally agree with your comments huni. Yes. They use these free games as a means of drawing people onto thte site, with the obvious hope that they will then deposit. They should be honest enough with their customers to make this very clear in their T&Cs. Poor show Foxy

lisa01 - 07:27am September 28, 2011

thankyou for sharing this with us, i will keep away and hope everyone else is careful

mike456tilly - 07:45am September 28, 2011

What an awful thing to do and thanks for warning us about the practices of Cassava.

linneteen - 07:57am September 28, 2011

Hi Bimms1

Thanks for the heads up on that site - sounds like they are real scammers doing that every time someone tries to withdraw, glad you have it sorted for your account now though

eve23 - 08:19am September 28, 2011

aw how rude was that hun l would of been off on one if that hapeened to me thanks for the warning hun xxxxxx

mattice - 08:23am September 28, 2011

hi there that aint right at all too right you questioned em hope ya have loads o luck

bigballs25 - 08:34am September 28, 2011

Glad you got your account reactivated but not sure I would want to play somewhere that treated me like that. If they don't like people winning and withdrawing then they shouldn't have free games.

jeanterry - 09:06am September 28, 2011

that is scandalous. i know that some people do abuse the system, but hen it's a legitimate player like you then they should offer you a cash apology as well!!

kelly3983 - 09:19am September 28, 2011

Smile thats absolutley awful, i would change site as soon as you can after withdrawing all your winnings x

todds - 09:37am September 28, 2011

Talk about using a hammer to crack a nut. Why not just limit the hours a day members can play free bingo if they feel people are abusing it. So after say 3 hours, you gt a warning "You have used up your free allocated time, come back tomorrow"

Another way of getting round it is to do what other sites do & only allow access to the free rooms if you deposit in a month.

sophie-lea - 10:41am September 28, 2011

Sorry to hear you have had trouble on foxy bingo Bimms, sounds a bit strange to me if they have free bingo that they limit you though.

hollyn - 11:18am September 28, 2011

Wow, that really is unfair of them. They happily take our cash but if they see you getting any money for free, they block your account! That would definitely put me off.

daniel1991 - 11:59am September 28, 2011

oh dear bimms i really dont like the sound of that at all i appreciate they resolved the situation but its the whole customer service thing that puts me off they take your money fast enough so they should deal with you in a similar way, closeing down accts for no good reason isnt acceptable and has put me of ever signing up to them

markyates77 - 12:17pm September 28, 2011

well done you bimms and at least they got back to you with an apology - i wonder how many others got their account blocked and havn't bothered to question it

cheeky64 - 01:23pm September 28, 2011

well done to you bimms for standing up for your rights they really should say there is a limit to the free games you can play because i have never saw anything to say play restricted for a certain time and as for being a professional gambler for playing free bingo for three hours i will see all of you bingoporters at gamblers anon in the near future then if that is the case lol

mdenise96 - 02:24pm September 28, 2011

thanks for the info bimms.im sure this will help others that have had their accounts closed after trying to withdraw on there.

paul550550 - 02:40pm September 28, 2011

what a scary email to receive bimms.....I have to say that when I was reading your post I was starting to think it was just spam (like those ones you get from banks and building societies, even though you don't have accounts with them, lol!!), but obviously not in this case. Good on you for following it up, and thanks for sharing your experience and outcome with all of us. I'd be inclined to say that they don't deserve your hard earned money in the future!

mumtoo2x - 02:54pm September 28, 2011

Hi Bimms, I can't believe you were told you had been playing too much!  I have never heard that said before.

does'nt sound like a very good site cassava, I bet they don'y moan about the time you're playing if you keep paying, my suggestion is to leave the site and get a better one.

denwit - 04:47pm September 28, 2011

hi bimms, that sounds really strange to me i think they made a mistake.x

douvet - 04:51pm September 28, 2011

goodness bimms, i've only been playing online bingo for a couple of weeks but thanks to bingoport i'm now a professional gambler????

gamblers annonymous here i come !

seriously, i think it's good you posted this as there may be many more in a similar situation who may well question cassava now and hopefully if they get enough complaints, they'll think twice before sending out emails like this. good for you

mneylan12344 - 05:06pm September 28, 2011

hi bimms that is so horrible, well done in challenging them but it is just ridiculous  to treat people like this, I will steer clear.

bettmcd - 05:14pm September 28, 2011

Hi bimms.  Many thanks for letting us know about the problem you experienced at Foxy and Cassava blocking accounts.  Obviously these companies want you to carry on playing the money through rather than withdraw, but it really is not fair to treat anyone like this when you were clearly playing quite legitimately.  It will certainly make me steer clear of any of these sites!

melslimbo - 05:21pm September 28, 2011

That sounds really dubious and good on you for first of all challenging it, and secondly sharing the information with everyone.

caliautoprice - 05:51pm September 28, 2011

Oh wow that sounds very dodgy bimms, thanks for the heads up. Glad you challenged them and got it sorted.

david59 - 06:30pm September 28, 2011

Hi bimms and thank you for all this info on cassava. Well done for challenging and getting reactivation. I am really not sure what they gain from this sort of thing, as because they reactivated your account, they must have felt they got it wrong in the first place. Thank you for sharing this with us, I am sure the Bingo Port community appreciates it and we will be wary of these sites in future.

saskie05 - 07:23pm September 28, 2011

Well done for challenging them, as others have said they must know they were wrong if they reinstated you. I for one just accept any problems like this so well done for standing up to them!

elle1602 - 07:42pm September 28, 2011

28 sept 2011 hi bimms sorry u wer having trouble but glad it all sorted now and othere who are with that site can read your topic x

keeleym - 08:53pm September 28, 2011

Glad you got reinstated, it does seem a funny way to go about things.  I don't think the 'professional gamblers' will be paying much tax on their earnings from 3 hours of free bingo a day - in fact you could well end up owing money (for elec) doing that!

senga10 - 09:04pm September 28, 2011

oooo that seems very strange glad they re activated it and hope you play and win lots of free games now lol xx

gwen09 - 09:08pm September 28, 2011

awwww bimms i havent had it happen hunni but ty for the advice i know now if it does happen to ask them gl hunnni xxxxxxxxxxxx

ereiam4win - 09:36pm September 28, 2011

wow bimms, thanks for letting us all know, i bet it made you feel a bit upset, glad the have sorted you now though

Steven2011 - 09:57pm September 28, 2011

well i think that is awful of them how dare they they are glad enough to take our money but oh how they hate paying it back

missbbw - 10:02pm September 28, 2011

hi bimms and well done for questioning this and good that they resolved it quickly for you too. and thanks for letting us know about this

mzjackson - 10:43pm September 28, 2011

I'm glad so many people read my post and I hope they find it helpful but I have to say during my research on Google I found an article by Bingoport about Cassava blocking accounts from earlier this year so its not a new thing and its good to know Bingoport are sticking up for on-line players.

laurenford - 11:20pm September 28, 2011

omg bimms that is unbelievable hun, im so pleased you questioned it, they shouldnt be allowed to treat their customers like that, makes me think twice about playing foxy now.....

mikespike - 09:01am September 29, 2011

That's a ridiculous policy, glad you managed to get it sorted, and thanks for the warning!

lyndsey8256 - 08:53pm September 30, 2011

hi bimms first of all well done on your win, that is terrible what they done to you but i am glad that you have got it sorted out.

cutelushlips - 09:44pm September 30, 2011

well bimms that sounds to me like they don't actually want too pay out on wins, as for blocking accounts i think that despicable x

marso - 10:17pm September 30, 2011

gosh thats really bad glad you got sorted but really not on

good luck future trouble free

sylwunia1 - 10:29pm September 30, 2011

Crikey - that's really underhand and such bad practice.  They're a huge name as well, not one of the smaller ones.  I'm really quite shocked by that.  I'm glad you got it sorted out though xxx

tigerlouise - 06:45pm October 1, 2011

omg bimms that's horrible that they are doing that to you!  thanks for letting us know, i think we will all stay far away from cassava

xx, aless

yummymummy23 - 09:26pm October 1, 2011

omg on the £64k only getting £3k thats terrible, how can they do that!
