New Year's Bingo Resolutions Ideas 2017
New Year’s Resolutions. Like them, loathe them, make them or break them…
…as we say goodbye to 2016 and welcome in 2017, it’s our bet that resolutions will be a topic that crops up in many of your conversations over the next couple of weeks.
Whether you’re trying to give up smoking, get fit (same old, same old), or think the whole thing is a waste of time (because you’re only going to break them anyway), New Year traditionally represents a fresh, new start.
With that in mind, we thought that we’d give you some top ideas for bingo-related resolutions this year. Have a read and let us know in the comments which you’d like to give a go in 2017!
1. Try playing on a new bingo site
It’s easy to get stuck in a rut with bingo. You’ll find a site and play on it until you’re bored to death—without realising that there are so many fresh, interesting games and sites out there, just waiting to be played. Whatever your personality, and whatever your loves in life are, you’re sure to find one that is perfect for you—it’s surprising how diverse bingo sites can be!
New players usually receive great welcome bonuses too—so you can always try out a few places on the cheap!
Most importantly, remember to sign up through BingoPort to get your Port Points!
Here are some examples of fun sites you may not know about:
- If Planet Earth 2’s got you crazy about wildlife, Hippo Bingo will be right up your street!
- Mad about Minions? You’ll be in your Despicable Me element on Bingo Minions.
- James Bond lover and all-round spy fan? Ted Bingo is a state secret, it’s that good!
None of these quite your thing? Find your perfect site with our super-quick one question quiz!
2. Get your chat on
Naturally a bit shy? Unwilling to get involved in chat games because everyone seems so confident, spouting out the bingo lingo left, right and centre? Well, let our chat moderators (CMs –see, you’re learning already!) inspire you to have a go. CM H0TT0TTIE told us about other newbies who got the wrong end of the stick didn’t know any of the lingo when she first started—and CM Teardrop admits she sometimes has to rely on her children to understand it all herself!
In any case, the BingoPort regulars are a friendly bunch. (Slightly mad, but very friendly!) And if it still seems a bit much, why not ‘like’ the BingoPort Facebook page – you’ll be able to interact from a safe distance, and it’s a fab way to learn about all of the latest promotions and competitions!
3. Attend a meet-up
Similar to our 2nd resolution idea, you may have always wanted to meet up with your bingo buddies… but you’ve either been busy, not got round to signing up, or are worried that they just won’t like you in real life… whatever the reason, 2017 is your chance to put that right!
With fun, food and friends on offer, there’s literally no downside. Many of our regulars recently enjoyed a bingo event in Leeds—read more about it here! And, if you’re nervous about going alone, you can take a friend –it might persuade them to give the game a go when they see how much fun you all have!
4. Try out a different payment method
Some payment methods will work better for you than others – it all depends on what’s most convenient for you. If you play a lot of bingo on your mobile, you might wish to pay by phone bill too; if you want the quickest, most secure method, PayPal might be your best bet, and if you just fancy a change, why not check out our guide to Paysafecard?
5. Become a VIP Celebrity
Most bingo sites have a VIP scheme—often, you’ll be enrolled into it automatically, but it’s always worth a check! If you’re looking for more reward for your loyalty, check out these sites, which always have some pretty impressive deals, discounts and prizes as you climb up the ranks to stardom.
