2018 BingoPort Players' Choice Awards: The Winners!

Every year, the highlight of the BingoPort calendar is the Players’ Choice Awards. You, the BingoPort community, voted for your favourite bingo and slots sites. All that was left for us to do was to reveal the results.

The award ceremony itself took place at the Dirty Martini bar in Minories, London, and we’re thrilled to say that we had our biggest turnout ever: representatives from the industry’s top sites all came along, fingers crossed that it would be their night.

If you’ve ever checked our slots sites recommendations or list of top bingo sites, you’ll know that there was plenty of competition. But we only had a handful of awards to present—all chosen by you.

Before we got to the player’s picks, however, we had another award to hand out: the Best Bingo Affiliate Manager Award. This award went to one of the key players in the bingo industry: Angie Simsolo of United Commissions. Her award was presented by Roo Wright, BingoPort co-founder and founder of leading Affiliate Compliance Software wag.io. Courtesy of wag.io, she won a brand new iPhone X for her hard work!

After that, it was time to turn our attention to the winners chosen by the players themselves. To begin, we wanted to show a little love to the new sites which have managed to impress us over the past twelve months. First up was the winner of the Best New Slots / Games Site. Whisking away the award on its flying carpet were magical newcomers Aladdin Slots!

It wasn’t just the slots newbies that merited our praise, however. We also had an award for the Best New Bingo Site on the net — and it came as little surprise to us that you chose to hand this award to a pair who are no strangers to creating award-winning bingo sites. That’s because your choice for Best New Bingo Site was Zoe’s Bingo — a site from husband and wife team Shaun and Vicki Baptie!

Being a player-voted award ceremony, it was only fitting that we celebrated the players themselves, and the friendly, buzzing communities they’ve built on their favourite sites (with help from some of the best chat moderators around, of course)! So, our next award went to the site with the Best Bingo Community. This award is a huge honour, reflecting the site that’s done the most to provide players with a really welcoming, fun experience — and this year, that honour went to Butlers Bingo.

Then, finally, it was time to move onto the big ones, starting with your choice for the overall Best Slots / Games Site. Competition for this award was, naturally, tough, but in the end, there could only be one king of the jungle. Yep, that’s right: your choice for Best Slots / Games Site was Amazon Slots! We recognise a few familiar faces here from an earlier award — it’s clear that this is a team who know how to put together a super slots site!

Last, but certainly not least, came the award that, it would be fair to say, was the most coveted of them all: the award for Best Bingo Site. With so many great sites offering new and innovative ways to play this year, it was tough to predict who would walk away with the gong. However, one site, having picked up two nominations, edged the competition and took home the biggest prize of the night: Chit Chat Bingo!

It was an amazing evening for everyone involved, and we’re thrilled to have been able to recognise and reward so many of your favourite sites. All that remains is for us to say thank you to everyone who cast their vote, and another huge congratulations to our lucky winners!
