Mecca Bingo Games & Bingo Rooms

Mecca Bingo is the glitz and glam home of online bingo. The site boasts a huge variety of exciting bingo, slot and jackpot games, including classics like Fluffy Favourites, roulette, and Age of the Gods. We’ve seen the adverts on TV (who hasn’t?) and were incredibly eager to give this bingo giant a try!

Busy bees of bingo, relax; you can play on your PC, but the Mecca mobile product is a godsend to those with a hectic schedule. All you need is an internet connection, and you can play on your tablet or mobile on the Mecca Bingo app or the website.

There are regular promos and bonuses available for Mecca Players, which we love to see. Some are for a limited time only; when we played, there was a Loose Women prize wheel that expired at the end of the month. There are also plenty of longer-term promotions like the £200K Giveaway, and daily offers which are always available, though the actual offer might change each day.

Mecca Bingo is fantastic because it combines the community of real bingo halls with the ease of online bingo. It’s such a huge brand, players can enjoy a real big-name feel here; nothing feels cheaply done or rushed.

BingoPort Top Tip: A big site name means big prizes; check out the massive bingo jackpots up for grabs over the weekend in the Gold Bingo room!

So What's On At Mecca Bingo?

The site was very easy to use,  Mecca Bingo is one of the Best UK Bingo Sites that we list! Everything is laid out in a way that makes it easy to find your way around, even if it’s your first time visiting Mecca Bingo. The top of the homepage is mostly taken up by promos, which is good for returning players as it lets you see what’s currently on offer when you land. Further down are some spotlighted bingo games to give newbies an idea of what’s available, and there’s even a handy tool for finding your nearest in-person club, if that’s something that interests you. Mecca’s homepage does have a tonne of information on it, but it’s sectioned up neatly to make it easy to see what’s useful for you personally, and which bits you can just scroll on past. It’s not messy or jumbled at all.

Mecca bingo room sizes vary a lot. In quieter rooms (usually rooms with bingo variants other than 90-ball), there may be as few as 15 players, but in the bigger, busier rooms, particularly cheap rooms or Mecca's free bingo games, there could easily be over 1000 players. This is a huge number of players in one room at once, but it’s to be expected from a big brand like Mecca Bingo. Mecca is one of the most popular bingo brands in the country; it’s not surprising that the rooms are packed. That said, if you prefer a quiet little game with just a few regulars that you can get to know, Mecca Bingo is probably not the site for you.

Once you’ve got registered on Mecca Bingo, you may be unsure where to start. The best place to begin is making a deposit! That way you can try out whichever mecca bingo games catch your eye. To make a deposit, go to the site cashier. If you’re not sure about depositing just yet, why not check out the Mecca Bingo free newbie bingo room, First Time Lucky? You can find it fastest by searching for it in the search bar. This room is for newly-registered players only, and has free, 1p, and 5p games.

For us, the best thing about Mecca Bingo currently is its collaboration with Loose Women! We love catching up on all the gossip and the latest issues, so finding out Mecca has a partnership with one of our favourite shows was very exciting. There are a few Loose Women branded games around the site, including Loose Women Bingo, a prize wheel, and a pick-a-mug promo that has some exciting prizes available! Admittedly the rooms were a little busy for our taste, but if you love a buzzing, lively bingo site, Mecca Bingo is perfect.

Mecca Bingo Games

The selection of bingo games on Mecca Bingo is very diverse; they have 90-ball, 88-ball, 80-ball, and 75-ball bingo available to play! The themes vary too, with generic options, branded games (like Deal or No Deal), and slot-themed games (like Rainbow Riches Bingo). Loose Women Bingo is currently being advertised quite heavily on the site, with three different ads on the promo page shouting about it. With up to £500K in prizes up for grabs each month, it’s easy to see why! We particularly like the ‘Everyone Wins’ jackpot as part of the room.

As a whole, Mecca Bingo’s selection of bingo rooms can definitely compete with the other top brands in the UK bingo market and there are a lot of Mecca Bingo alternatives out there. But we like it, because it has a huge range of choice, and is very easy to play, even for a beginner. The rooms are clearly advertised, showing what each has to offer and how much it will cost. Mecca Bingo has thought out its bingo product carefully, and it shows.

90-Ball BingoThis is the standard format for bingo in the UK. Players typically try to get one line, two lines, and then the full house. We love 90-ball bingo; it keeps things classic. Mecca Bingo offers 90-ball games in rooms like Main Event, Penny Lane, and Supersonic Speed Bingo.

75-Ball BingoThis is also called American Bingo; it’s played on a 5x5 grid where players aim for patterns, checkerboards, and blackouts. Mecca Bingo has two US-themed rooms that offer 75-ball: Jive Talking and Born in the USA.

50-Ball BingoThis is a very unusual variant we’ve not seen before. It’s offered on Mecca Bingo in the Loose Women Bingo, Emoji Bingo, Burst Bingo, and BOB rooms. Loose Women Bingo uses ‘Hot Topics’ instead of numbers, and Emoji Bingo uses… you got it, emojis, so if you fancy something different, check this out.

40-Ball BingoHaving not seen 40-ball bingo before, we were very curious. This variant can only be found in the Rainbow Riches Bingo room, where players get eight numbers split across two four leaf clovers as their ticket. It was certainly interesting to play!

Mecca Bingo Rooms & Chat

Mecca has stacks of bingo rooms- 23, to be precise, when we played. With tickets from as low as a penny, it doesn’t get more affordable than that, except free. Sadly, Mecca Bingo has a small selection of free bingo rooms; there is the Lucky For Some room which is free 90-ball, and also a newbie room that is only available for two hours a day, the first 8 days after you register.

What Mecca Bingo has load of bingo games. As well as your typical 90-ball bingo they also offer 50-ball bingo (which shows up as 88-ball on the room icons for some reason), American 75-ball, and 80-ball bingo, which is very rare.

All Mecca's rooms we tried worked smoothly, regardless of which bingo variant they were offering! One thing that is important to note about Mecca Bingo is that it is a big site. This does mean bigger promotions may be offered from time to time, but it also means that the bingo rooms can get incredibly busy.

We played a few times during the week, but at 4:30pm on Friday for example, things really began to ramp up. The least-busy rooms still had around 50-80 players, which is massive compared to bingo sites on smaller networks. The busiest room was unsurprisingly free bingo in the Lucky For Some room, and there were a whopping 1070 players in there when we jumped in! Good luck getting a jackpot in a crowd that size! This is unfortunately one of the downsides to a site as big as Mecca Bingo. You’re going to be a very small fish in a very big pond!

Mecca Bingo has more bingo rooms available than lots of other competing sites, but which rooms are the best? Well, the good news is, that depends on what you like!

Lucky For Some
If you like free bingo, the Lucky For Some room will be right up your street. Unfortunately it is pretty much always busy, but when it doesn’t cost anything to play, it doesn’t matter quite so much.

Gold Bingo
If you like big jackpots, the Gold Bingo room is the one for you. It even has the words ‘Big Prizes’ on the bingo room icon!

Best Odds Bingo
But our favourite room was the Best Odds Bingo room. This is a great concept- all players get 10 tickets each, and only 10 tickets. That means that you all have the same chance of winning! There’s nothing more annoying than trying to buy a couple of tickets to a game, and seeing the same winners over and over because they can afford to buy the maximum number of tickets every game. The BOB room solves this problem! There was something just so exciting about knowing that we have as good a shot as anyone at landing that jackpot! Apparently, we’re not the only ones who think so- the BOB room won an EGR award in 2019 for ‘Innovation in Bingo’!

Loose Women Bingo
The chat in this room is fantastic! Unsurprising, really, considering that the room draws fans of the popular talk show, but if I’m in the mood for a natter as I play, the Loose Women Bingo room is the first place I’d go. The bingo game even draws ‘Hot Topics’ rather than bingo numbers, so there’s always something to talk about!

Lucky For Some
The free bingo room is always, always busy, which is great if you hate awkward silences, but we found that with so many players, it wasn’t the ideal place to chat. With over 1000 players being very common, it was quite intimidating to consider putting a message in the chat, and conversations weren’t really happening beyond congratulating winners.

Emoji Bingo
This room is on the quieter side for Mecca Bingo, which can be very love/hate for many players. Unlike the busier rooms, there was more chance to chat, but sometimes things can be a little… too quiet. When the conversation got going, it was great, being very easy to follow, but in between? Crickets.

Rainbow Riches Bingo
This room was pretty standard in terms of bingo chat. Lots of congratulating winners, and the occasional chatter, but generally things stayed fairly bingo-focussed. It’s definitely the case that on a big bingo site like Mecca, there’s less of an ‘all the regulars know each other’ feel that you sometimes find on smaller sites.

Mecca Bingo has more bingo rooms available than lots of other competing sites, but which rooms are the best? Well, the good news is, that depends on what you like!

Mecca Bingo Side Games & Slots

Side games are available to enjoy while you wait in the bingo rooms! Choose from a selection of slot games and enjoy a little flutter while you hang out and chat between bingo rounds. Not all slot games can be played as mini side games; check out the selection to see which titles are available.

There are over 350 slot games available on Mecca Bingo! Classic slot games like Cleopatra, hugely popular titles like Starburst, and even scratch card games too are all ready to play, and Mecca Bingo also offers a wide variety of Slingo games.

Mecca Bingo’s games are split into Bingo, Slots, Casino, and Jackpots sections. Bingo is quite self explanatory; here you’ll find the bingo rooms! Under Slots, you’ll find Top Slots, New, Megaways, Slingo, Scratch & Arcade, and also, strangely, Table Games are listed here, not under Casino. Having a whole section of Megaways games is fantastic, because these are quite love/hate amongst a lot of players. With usually around 243 different paylines, these slots give lots of chances to win but tend to be less volatile, meaning smaller prize amounts. Slingo is a cross between slots and bingo, and it’s hugely popular; we absolutely love it! There are even live casino tables where a friendly dealer will run your games for you.

The Jackpots collection is filled with games that have huge prizes attached. Not only can you win within the slot, you have the chance to trigger a mega jackpot too! Some have a daily prize, others have a progressive jackpot, so if you’re looking for a huge prize to tantalise you, these are the games for you.

Big Bass Bonanza
Grab your best fishing rod and reel in the excitement with this fun fish-themed slot. The bass symbol is the scatter, and landing 3 or more will trigger free spins. The wild symbol (fisherman) only appears during free spins rounds. There is also a fish money symbol which has cash values attached!

7's to Burn
This slot gives a fiery revamp to classic fruit machine fun. Spin three reels and aim for a win across any of the 5 paylines. Cherries, bars, and other fruit all make an appearance, as well as 7s symbols of course.

Irish Luck
Friendly fairies and leprechauns prance across this colourful cartoon Irish slot. There are also letter symbols, and all five spell out IRISH across the reels for a maximum prize. The Prize Pick symbol could give up to 100x your wager or 10 free games, and the Match & Win feature offers multipliers too.

Thai Flower
Pretty and delicate, the Thai Flower slot features symbols like a lotus flower, an elephant, and a Thai lady. The lotus flower is wild, substituting for other symbols. Land a lotus on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th reels to launch a special free game with three symbols only.
